We were honoured to welcome Assistant Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, Amanda Stocker, and Aaron Bray, CEO of Club Training Australia, to our club to talk about the great work we’re doing through our school-based traineeship program.

They met with our General Manager, Justin Hall, and HR Manager, Rochelle Blakelock, to discuss the success of the program, hospitality training initiatives, and how we can work together to create more opportunities for young people in our community.

As the club supports 20 students every year to do a Cert III in Business through the school based traineeship program, with a high portion of those students securing work afterwards, we were proud for Amanda to meet some of our school based trainees like Kait Ashbrooke and talk to them about their experience.

I whispered to the staff about it at the start and to conclude the evening they came out with a wonderful plate with cake and candle and icecream for the kids... as well as a playroom for tee kids & Table activities book!!!
