THE LION'S DEN KIDS CLUB POLICY
Welcome to The Lion’s Den Kids Club. There are rules and conditions we would like to tell you about. By using The Lion’s Den Kids Club, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the rules and conditions.
Conditions of Entry:
- The Lion’s Den service is available to Financial Members of The Lion Richlands
- Parent/Guardian must have their membership card to sign in and sign out Children from the Lion’s Den
- Any medical condition that the child has must be disclosed to staff upon signing in.
- Please note that The Lion’s Den is under video surveillance.
NO MEMBERSHIP CARD, NO ENTRY!
- The Parent/Guardian signing the child/children in is the only person permitted to sign that child/children out.
- Parents/Guardians will be contacted 5 minutes before the child/children is due to be signed out to ensure the child/children is signed out on time.
- No sign ins will be accepted with less then 20 minutes to the scheduled closing time.
- Parents/Guardians MUST NOT leave the licensed premises while the child/children are signed in to The Lion’s Den – This includes not being out on the field.
- If the parent/guardian has to leave the club and is leaving the child/children in another parent/guardian’s care while they are signed into the Lion’s Den, they must notify the staff and modify the sign in sheet.
- Our staff have a 1:20 ratio for staff to children, a waitlist will be provided if at capacity.
Ages:
- There is no minimum age, however, all children must be fully toilet trained – No nappies or pull-ups.
- Children requiring nappies or pull-ups, must be supervised by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 through the duration of their attendance in The Lion’s Den.
- Please note if a child is left as fully toilet trained and has an accident, a cleaning fee may occur/ exclusion from the Lion’s Den may be implemented.
Hours:
- Maximum of 4 hours in The Lion’s Den per day.
- The Lion’s Den daily time limit applies to all age groups.
- Children must be taken out for a 30-minute break after 2 hours in The Lion’s Den.
- Children must be checked on after 1 hour.
Food & Drink:
- No food purchased from Cafe or Restaurant is permitted, this includes ice-creams and drinks.
- If a child has a medical condition which requires them to carry these items, please speak with staff.
- No alcohol or glass is permitted.
Sick/ Medical/ Injury:
- Any medical condition that the child has must be disclosed to staff upon signing in.
- Children who are sick are not permitted i.e. coughing, runny nose, scratching of the head (lice).
- Use of The Lion’s Den is at your own risk. Care should be taken when playing on the equipment. Improper use could result in injury. While we do our best to facilitate a safe and secure environment, The Lion Richlands IS NOT liable for any injuries, incidents or misadventures that occur while in the Lion’s Den. In the unfortunate case of an injury or misadventure, details must be provided to staff at the time of the incident.
- The Lion Richlands IS NOT liable for allergies of a child during the visit.
Security/Lost Property:
- The Lion Richlands IS NOT responsible for any personal valuables such as toys, electronic devices etc. that brought into The Lion’s Den Kids Club.
- The Lion’s Den IS NOT liable for any loss or damage to any person, equipment or merchandise left on the premises prior to, during or after their visit. The parents indemnify The Lion’s Den against any such claim, action, loss or damage.
- Lost property will be held for 24 hours only and then discarded if unclaimed.
Damage:
Any damage to The Lion’s Den room, equipment, theming, decorations or facilities incurred during the visit is to be paid by the parent.
Behaviour:
- The Lion’s Den reserves the right to cancel a visit at any time for any reason.
- Disruptive behaviour and bad language will not be tolerated and may result in exclusion from The Lion’s Den.
- Parents/Guardians will be notified of such behaviour and you will be requested to remove your child from The Lion’s Den immediately.
- If child/children are constantly displaying a bad habit of disruptive behaviour on several occasions, a ban from using this service may apply.
- Regardless of the circumstances, if physical violence is displayed towards another child or staff member, the child/children will be removed from The Lion’s Den for the remainder of the day/evening i.e. hitting, biting, smacking or punching. A ban from The Lion’s Den could be placed on the child/children involved.
- Verbal abuse from parent/guardians towards staff will not be tolerated, Duty Manager will become involved and may result in not being able to access this service.
- If The Lion’s Den staff deem any activity child/children are performing to be unsafe, then they will be asked to stop the activity, failure to do so will result in the parent/guardian contacted to collect their child/children.
- If a child has been found to have willingly or maliciously caused damage to The Lion’s Den or any club property within, Duty Manager will become involved to assess the severity of damage caused and if further action such as a ban from using the service.
Fire Evacuation:
In the event of an evacuation, our trained staff will direct your child/children to the safest assembly area.
- Please do not attempt to collect your child/children from The Lion’s Den during an emergency procedure.
- Please make your way in a safe manner directly to the appropriate assembly area to collect your child/children.
